Obituary

Wilfred "Will" Wallace Black, 81 Boardman………..Funeral services will be held 10:30am Monday at the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell and 11am at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, with Fr. Kevin Marks officiating for, Wilfred "Will" Wallace Black, 81, who passed away Thursday morning. Will was born, Jan. 17, 1933 in Pittsburgh, the son of Donald D. Jr. and Florence Hopkins Black. He was a 1951 graduate of West View High School in Pittsburgh and graduated in 1955 from Grove City College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce. Will served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Flight Navigator from 1955 to 1958. He worked as a Pharmaceutical Salesman for 30 years. He was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, and St. Michael's Men's Civic Club. Will was an avid golfer and played most of his life. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers season-ticket holder and loved the Steelers, Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins. His wife, the former Sally Ann Botch, whom he married, March 31, 1973, passed away, March 17, 2013 He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter and son-in-law, Kristin and Richard (Black) Ciaramella of Overland Park, KS and daughter Sara (Black) Goldhardt of Columbus.; grandchildren, Ryan and Rachael Ciaramella and Amanda Goldhardt; brother-in-law, Nick Botch Jr. of Highlands, TX; and sister-in-law, Rosalie (Botch) Smrek of Poland. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Sally. The family would like to give a special thanks to all of the staff of Maple Crest Nursing Home in Struthers, for their excellent care of Will. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, due to their excellent care of his beloved wife Sally. The Black family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell and will receive family and friends on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5pm, where a prayer service will be held at 2pm. Interment will be held at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
