Transfer, Pa: Funeral services will be held 9:30am Friday at the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell and 10am in St. Lucy Catholic Church for Virginia M. Dattilo, 90, formerly of Campbell, who passed away Monday evening.
Virginia was born April 6, 1921 in Weirton, W. Va., the daughter of Anthony and Rose Spears DeFebbo; she was a resident of Campbell before moving to Transfer in 1992.
She was a member of the church and it?¢s Altar and Rosary Society.
Virginia enjoyed bird watching, cooking, baking and caring for her children and grandchildren.
Her husband Anthony ââ?¬Å?Punnick쳌 Dattilo whom she married Dec. 30, 1942 passed away July 13, 1990.
She leaves to cherish her memory 3 daughters, Barbara Rodriguez of Poland, Jeanne Hovis of Transfer, with whom she made her home and Esther Kusky of Brookfield; 5 sons, Gary Dattilo of Hubbard, Roger Dattilo of Portland, Tenn., Anthony Dattilo, Jr. of Poland, John Dattilo of Poland and Rick Dattilo of Niles; 25 Grandchildren; 18 Great-Grandchildren; 3 sisters, Fran Wenzel of Weirton, W. Va., Delina ââ?¬Å?Dilly쳌 DiGerdamo of Weirton, W. Va., and Mary Boggs of Columbiana and 1 brother Jimmy DeFebbo of Follansbee, W. Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 4 brothers Albert, Louis, Charles and John DeFebbo and 3 sisters Rose Ellek, Helen Schuma and Carmella Guilford.
The Dattilo family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Thursday evening from 4-7pm.
