Campbell: Funeral services will be held 11am Wednesday at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church for Theofilos P. Samios, 62, who passed away Sunday afternoon. Theofilos was born Oct. 28, 1949 in Kalymnos, Greece the son of Panormitis and Nikki Rousos Samios and came to America in 1970. He was a bridge painter belonging to Painter Local 476. He was a member of the church and the Kalymian Society He will be greatly missed and his memory forever cherished by his wife the former Xanthipi Pizanias whom he married in Feb. of 1974; his children Kalliope (Alekos) Pragia of Athens, Greece, Panormitis Samios of Campbell and Irene Samios of Athens Greece; siblings Eleni of Kalymnos, Maria of Campbell, Demitra of Kalymnos, Anastasios of Bowling Green, KY and Mikes of Kalymnos. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Christo. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help with the cost of the funeral. The Samios family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home and on Wednesday morning from 10-11am at the church.
