Sylvia Mastronikolas, 65
Campbell…Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, with Fr. Steve Denas officiating for Sylvia Mastronikolas, 65, who passed away Sunday.
Sylvia was born March 9, 1949 in Kalymnos, Greece, the daughter of Skevos T. and Nomiki Loukakis Psaras.
Sylvia made her home in Campbell, traveling from Greece in 1960.
She loved cooking for her family.
Sylvia was a great coffee maker, which she often sold at the annual Greek Festival at the church. She was known to many as the "coffee lady".
Sylvia was a devoted mother, focusing her attention on raising her family and caring for and spending time with her grandchildren.
Sylvia leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Nicholas J. Mastronikolas, whom she married May 9, 1976; her daughter, Joanna Sarianopoulos of Campbell; her sons, John Mastronikolas and Skevos Mastronikolas (fiancée Amanda Such), both of Campbell; grandchildren, Alexandros Psaras, Nicholas, Ellianna and Lindy Mastronikolas and Lukas and Magdalana Mastronikolas; two brothers, Thomas S. (Irene) Psaras and Peter S. (Barbara) Psaras, both of Campbell; and a sister, Mary Kiousis of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, John Sarianopoulos, who passed away September 25, 1967.
The Mastronikolas and Psaras families have entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and again Friday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Church.
