Obituary

Campbell: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at noon at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Lucy Catholic Church for Stella Dambrogio, 97, who passed away Saturday afternoon. Stella was born July 28, 1915 in Campbell, the daughter of John and Anella Pelec Szpyt. She attended Campbell Memorial High School and was a lifelong resident of the area. Stella was a homemaker. She also ran the neighborhood grocery store, Penhale Market. Later she worked at Hills Department Store where she retired in 1960. Stella was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church and its?¢ Infant Jesus of Prague Guild. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Dolores Lysowski of Campbell; her son James (Jane) Dambrogio, D.O., of Transfer, PA; a sister Irene Yanno of Campbell; a daughter in law, Jean Dambrogio of Canfield; a nephew Jon (Sandra) Yanno; and grandchildren, Dean (Barbara) Lysowski, Cherie (Douglas) Vaclav, Mark Lysowski, Kim (Nancy) Dambrogio, Donald (Jeanne) Dambrogio, Deana Bonetti, James (Leslie) Dambrogio, Joseph (Katey) Dambrogio; Jana Dambrogio; and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph Dambrogio, whom she married December 26, 1931 and who passed away December 14, 1991; a son, Donald; two sisters, Julia Dambrogio and Mildred Poghen; two brothers Peter and Mike; and a son-in-law, Robert Lysowski. The Dambrogio family would like to especially thank the Staff of the Special Care Unit at Assumption Village Nursing Home. The Dambrogio family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10-12:00 p.m. at St. Lucy Catholic Church. Mass will immediately follow at noon.
