Campbell…Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, with Father Steve Denas officiating, for Rose Maron Patris, 70, who passed away early Sunday morning at her home, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Rose was born September 9, 1942, in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Wroblewski Maron. She was a lifelong area resident. She received an Associates Degree in Business Administration in 1962 and a B.S. in Education in 1964 from Youngstown State University. She later received a Masters Degree in Business Education and Psychology from Kent State University. Rose went on to serve the Struthers Board of Education from 1966 to 1996 as a Business Education Department Head and Instructor. She was a member of St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, the Eastern Star Mason, Masonic Temple in Girard Lodge # 652, the Mahoning County Retired Teachers Association, the Trumbull County Society for Psychic Research, the Junior Group of Good Will Industries, Past President of Gold Torch Chapter of American Business, and she served as Secretary and Vice-President for the Women's Association, where she was honored twice as "Woman of the Year". She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Konstantinos "Gus" Patris, whom she married December 27, 1969; her sons, Stelios K. (Tara) Patris of Austintown and Vasilios K. (Kelly) of Campbell; and her grandchildren, Konnor, Kosta, Yanni, Anthony, and William Patris. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, John Maron. The Patris family would like to especially thank Rose's aids and caretakers who made the Patris' family lives a lot easier, Tracy Feasler, Karen Armeni, Emil Coman and to Grace Hospice of Boardman, particularly Debbie Speerbrecher, Candy, Shannon, Anne , and Melissa and Pastor Don Monaco. Monetary donations may be made to ASPCA or to Grace Hospice in Rose's name. The Patris family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Thursday from 9-11:00 a.m. at Church.
