Rosa Maria Del Carmen Garcia, 63 YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, for Rosa Maria Del Carmen Garcia, 63, who passed away Monday, Feb. 20. "It is with great sadness that we must say "later" to our beloved daughter and sister." She was born Aug. 29, 1953, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Hector M. and Leila Rosa Rios Garcia. Rosa was a beautiful woman with the spirit of an angel, a laugh and a smile that anyone who ever met her could never forget. She was an accomplished artist with a degree from Youngstown State University, a volunteer and a teacher for OCCHA. Rosa was a true gem of the community, always so giving to others before herself. She is survived by many of us who love her, including her mother, Leila Rosa Garcia; two brothers, Hector Garcia Jr. and Ruben Garcia; nephews Ruben Garcia Jr., Cameron Garcia and Elmani Garcia Cruz; and nieces Natiera, Marasia and Myella Garcia Cruz. She was preceded in death by her father Hector; and "may she fly high with our angel, Travis." The Garcia family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the 7 p.m. funeral service.
