Roberta "Bobbie" Tekac, 70 Youngstown…Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Skip Linebaugh of Victory Christian Center, for Roberta "Bobbie" Tekac, 70, who passed away Thursday afternoon at home surrounded by her family. "Bobbie" was born February 24, 1943 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Walter and Rose Marie Swansinger Jacobs. She was a 1961 graduate of Struthers High School. "Bobbie" worked part-time at various craft stores in the Youngstown area, Montgomery Wards and American Paper. She was well known in the community for her crafts and artwork. She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Rose Marie of Maryland; her husband, Jerry J. Tekac, whom she married June 8, 1963; her children, Suzanne R. Rich of Austintown; Jerry J. Tekac, Jr. of Goose Creek, SC; and Robert S. Tekac of Grove City; her six grandchildren, Nichole, Carrie, Tyler, Sydney, Michal and Megan; two great-grandchildren; and her sister, Dianna Sakacs of Lanham, Maryland. "Bobbie" was preceded in death by her father, Walter Jacobs. The Tekac family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Tuesday from 11-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
