Obituary

Boardman- Richard G. Lehn, 81 passed away peacefully, Wednesday October 21, following a long, courageous, and deeply dignified battle with cancer. He was born on June 17, 1945, in Minneapolis, a son of the late Andrew and Margaret Lewis Lehn.

Shortly after graduating from high school, Richard answered the call of duty by enlisting in the United States Army. He trained and served as a dedicated field medic. The profound experience of helping others in service to his country left an enduring mark on his character, instilling a lifelong quiet strength and resilience.

Following his military service, Richard brought his sharp mind and natural ingenuity to his career. He later worked at Lowe’s as a skilled salesman, where he famously went above and beyond by building demonstration models from scratch for the sales floor to better help his customers. He enjoyed fixing things, working on cars and above all spending time with his grandchildren.

Richard leaves to cherish his memory, his wife the former Cheri Angel Turner, whom he married August 8, 1992, daughter Angela Lehn, Christina (Jim) Smith, sister Carol Niehaus, and grandchildren Camilla Maldanado, Charlotte Taylor, and Mason Ludwick. He is preceded in death by his stepson Jesse Ludwick, twin brother Tom, brother Sonny Lehn, and sisters Ann Louise McMillen and Mary Collins.

There will be a celebration of Richard’s life at a later date.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Kubina-Yuhasz Funeral Home.
