Ricardo Rosales, 88
CAMPBELL – Private family services were held Thursday at the Wasko Funeral Home, with Deacon John Rentas officiating, for Ricardo Rosales, 88, who passed away Sunday.
Ricardo was born March 21, 1928, in Camuy, Puerto Rico, the son of Manuel and Petra Colon Rosales.
He was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at Sta. Rosa de Lima Catholic Church.
Ricardo cared deeply for his family. He lived for his children and they were his most important treasure.
Ricardo loved cars and every Sunday, he would pile his children in the car and drive to car lots to admire the cars.
He was a huge Indians fan and also loved bingo and scratch off tickets.
His wife, the former Magdalena Cortez, whom he married, July 26, 1956, passed away Dec. 4, 2010.
Ricardo leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Aida (James) Shipley of Florida, Ricardo Jr. (Carla) of Florida, Carmelita (Andre) Morales of Campbell and Heiberto; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents and his wife, Magdalena, he was preceded in death by his many brothers and sisters.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of MVI Hospice, especially Ricardo's nurses, Mary Kay and Cathy, and his nurses' aide, Rosa.
The Rosales family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home.
