Remo M. Carano, 84 CAMPBELL?? Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Lucy Church for Remo M. Carano, 84, who passed away Friday evening. Remo was born in Carovilli, Italy, the son of Lucio and Angela Rossi Carano. Remo proudly journeyed to Campbell in 1954. Remo was a veteran of the Italian Army and later worked at Beneda Aluminum Factory for 14 years and at Wean United as a crane operator for 12 years. He retired from Calex Corporation in 1993 as a press operator. He also owned and operated Misto Cleaners with his wife, Angela. Remo was a member of St. Lucy?¢s Church and a trustee of St. Lucy?¢s Men Society and of the Carovillesi Men?¢s Society. Remo loved the outdoors and was known as an avid gardener who grew the largest tomatoes and figs. He was most known around town for his homemade Italian wine. Remo enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeyes. Remo will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was truly loved by all. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the former Angela E. Falasca, whom he married Oct. 29, 1949; two daughters, Franca ââ?¬Å?Franki쳌 (Mark) Carano-Elliott of Hudson, Mary Jo (Mike) Carano-Fagert of Canfield; four granddaughters, Cara (Mike) Elliott-Wright, Adrienne (Duane) Elliott-Gresh, Tiffany (Jeremy) Fagert-Smith and Melanie (Brian) Fagert-Pfau; five great-grandchildren, Maria and Maxon Wright, Aiden and Beckham Gresh and Caroline Pfau; and a sister, Evelina Carano of Italy. Remo was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Americo and Egidio Carano. The Carano family would like to personally thank Drs. Robert, Daniel and Vince Ricchiuti; Drs. Mark and Richard Memo; and all of the nurses, nurses?¢ aids and the entire staff of 5 West, St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. The Carano family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
