Obituary

CAMPBELL – A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday at St. Angela Merici, formerly the Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. Kevin Peters officiating, for Ramona Medina Sigurani, 105, who passed away Thursday morning with her family by her side. Ramona was born Dec. 20, 1910, in Utuado, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Tomas and Amalia Alvarez Medina. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. Ramona was an avid gardener and enjoyed travelling.  Most of all, she especially cherished the time she spent with her family at family gatherings. Her husband, Jose Alberto Sigurani, whom she married Nov. 9, 1940, passed away July 7, 2007. "Mom, we will always remember the beautiful memories and time we spent together" Ramona leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Joe Sr. (Pamela) of Salem, Luis (Monin) of Boardman and a daughter, Margarita "Margie" (Jose) Santiago of Campbell; her 10 grandchildren, Joe Jr., Anthony, Cindy, Shawn and Kenny Sigurani, Diane (Tim) Kelty, Melissa (Drew) Macejko, Jolynn Santiago and Jason and Daniella Sigurani ; and 13 great-grandchildren, Joe, Jake, Sophia, Luke, Isabella, Vita, Geneieve, Antonio, Amario, Joziah, Alize, Alissa and Emma Lynn; and three great-great-grandchildren, Sophia, Ben and Elena. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Frank; her grandson, Michael Sigurani; and her brothers, Tomas, Jesus, Manuel, Jose and Angel (Lile) Medina. The Sigurani family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home.
