Obituary

Campbell: Funeral services will be held, 10:30am Saturday at the Wasko Funeral Home and 11am in St. John Catholic Church for Paul J. Vankulick, 89 who passed away Wednesday afternoon. Paul was born May 5, 1921 in Campbell the son of Michael and Julia Sasfay Vankulick and was a life long area resident of Campbell. He was a 1939 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army in WWII, 3196 Signal Corp, in Africa and Italy. He was a member of the church and the VFW Post 3538 in Struthers. Paul retired in 1985 from LTV Steel as a Roll Turner. His wife the former Margaret Danus whom he married Oct. 24, 1945 passed away Aug. 15, 2000. He leaves to cherish his memory his 4 daughters, Kathy (David) Hrabosky of Brownstown, MI, Judy (John) Oleksa of Boardman, Peggy (Rick) Maro of Youngstown and Nancy (Michael) Bell of Solon; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael (Frances) Vankulick of Melbourne, Fl.; a brother-in-law John (Kitty) Danus of East Hanover, NJ; a very dear friend, Skeets Aronson and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and a sister Margaret Evans. The Vankulick family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Saturday morning from 8:30-10:30am.
