Paul J. "Wimpy" Dubaj, Jr. 96
Youngstown…Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish at St. Matthias Church , with Rev. Martin Celuch officiating for Paul J. "Wimpy" Dubaj, Jr. 96, who passed away Wednesday evening.
Paul was born October 20, 1918, in Campbell, the son of Paul and Veronica Shulko Dubaj. He was a life-long area resident.
Paul served in the US Army during WWII, stationed in Germany from 1942-1946.
He retired after 38 years of service from Boardman Supply Company, where he worked as a cement truck driver and plant operator.
He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish at St. Matthias Church.
Paul was an avid bowler and the former President of the Jolly Bowling League. Above all, many knew him as the "Mayor" of Dunkin Donuts on Market Street.
His wife, the former Marjorie White, whom he married August 19, 1944, passed away April 19, 2010.
Paul leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Bob Dubaj, with whom he made his home; his daughter-in-law, Rosemary Christmas-Dubaj of Youngstown; three grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa and Gina; one great-grandson, Gavin; his sisters Martha Salvatore of Boardman and Carol Daley of Youngstown; and two brothers Frank Dubaj and Richie (Mary Lou) Dubaj, all of Campbell.
Besides his wife, Marjorie, Paul was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Paul Dubaj III, four sisters, Mary Mokrovich, Vera Mraz, Ann Dunlap, and Katy David; and three infant brothers.
The Dubaj family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral home and will receive family and friends Sunday from 4-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
