Obituary

AUSTINTOWN –A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home with Deacon Sam DiFranesco officiating for Patricia A. "Patti" Bakes, 64, who went to be with the Lord on December 13, 2013. Patti was born December 10, 1949 in Niles, a daughter of the late Joey and Ellen Sullivan Thomas. She worked as dietician for many of the local nursing homes, including Windsor House, Briarfield, and most recently Clepper Manor. She had a beautiful smile that could light up a whole room. She enjoyed spending time traveling with her husband to Myrtle Beach and to Jamaica, where they got married. She also loved spending time with her friends and dancing. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, George, whom she married November 10, 1995, two step-daughters, Monica Bakes and Rhonda (Samuel) Gianfrancisco, two step-grandchildren, Sammy and Haley Gianfrancisco, 4 brothers, Joey, Kevin, James, and Mark, two sisters, Kathleen and Coleen, as well as many cousins and many many friends, and her beloved canine companion, Tuggles. The Bakes family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home, where they will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material contributions be made to the family to help defray the costs associated with the funeral.
