Monserrate Ramirez, 86 Campbell: Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd at Sta. Rosa de Lima Church in Campbell for Monserrate Ramirez who passed away Tuesday evening. Monserrate was born June 13, 1925 in Luquillo, Puerto Rico the son of Fundador and Providencia Figueroa Ramirez. Monserrate worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company as a craneman, retiring after 33 years of service. He was one of the pioneers of the formation of Sta. Rosa de Lima Church. He was a Eucharistic minister and a member of its?¢ Holy Name Society. Monserrate was very involved with the Cursillo movement and was an active member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the former Yolanda Cruz whom he married December 19, 1981; his children Mary Esther Smith, Vernie Louise Kindron, David Eugene Ramirez, Raymond Louis Ramirez and Linda Sue Parker; and two sisters Mary Ester Rodriguez and Eddie Ramirez both of Puerto Rico. Monserrate was preceded in death by his parents; a son Harry James Ramirez; two brothers Fundador Ramirez and Enrique Ramirez; and two sisters Otilia Ramirez and Angelita Ramirez. The Ramirez family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends on Sunday from 5-8:00 p.m.
