Monica Yvonne (Durina) Janecko, 87 STRUTHERS – Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Struthers for Monica Yvonne (Durina) Janecko, 87, who passed away Dec. 15, 2014, at Maplecrest Nursing Home. Monica was born in Youngstown to Michael and Sophie Rish Durina. She attended and graduated from Ursuline High School in Youngstown. Monica worked at the former Century Cable in Struthers for many years. She was an avid sports fan, and frequently could be seen locally cheering on her children and grandchildren. She had quite the skill for bowling, cooking and craft making. But most of all, she enjoyed spending her available time with family. It was her greatest joy. She leaves to cherish her memories, her five children, Eugene (April) Janecko, Raymond (Kathy) Janecko, Monica Fabian, Janet (Charles) Kramer, and Gerald (Yumary) Janecko; eight grandchildren, Melissa (Brooks) Fabian-Burris, Joseph Fabian, Aaron Mrvelj, Brooke Cina, Jordan Kramer, Mackenzie Janecko, Raymond Janecko, Sophie Janecko; and great-grandson Seth Fabian-Burris. Monica was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Sophie; two brothers, Raymond and Michael Jr.; and her son-in-law, Thomas Fabian. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Maplecrest Nursing Home for their support and friendship over the last year. The Janecko family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell and will receive family and friends Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the local chapter of the Easter Seals Center for Rehabilitation, 721 Boardman Poland Road Suite 104, Youngstown, OH 44512
