NEW MIDDLETOWN – A brief prayer service will be held at Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Angela Merici Parish, the former Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Kevin Peters officiating for May L. (Leetch) Weaver, 94, who passed away on January 24, 2014. May was born March 4, 1919 in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and May Repine Leetch. She was the cook manager in the cafeteria for Youngstown City Schools for 28 years. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and cooking, but most of all loved spending time with her family. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Andrew L. Weaver, Jr. of New Middletown, Darlene Evans of Indigo, CA, Richard E. Weaver, Sr. of Anchorage, AK, and Tonya Weaver of New Middletown. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren, including Denise (Paul) Biller, Diana (Tim) Verzilli, and David (Brenda) LaBrusse, 14 great grandchildren, including Olivia Ann, Ava Rose, Asher, and Jonah, and 2 great great grandchildren. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew L. Weaver, Sr., whom she married November 12, 1938 and preceded her in October of 1994, and her siblings, William Leetch, Jan Harrison, Betty Jane Leetch, and Mildred Patterson. The Weaver family has entrusted the care of their loved one to the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends there from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
