Maryjane Shannon, 81 CAMPBELL - A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at the Heritage Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Kristin Stroble officiating, for Maryjane Shannon, 81, who passed away Tuesday afternoon at the Hospice House, with her family by her side. Maryjane was born May 15, 1935, in Youngstown, the daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Turpo Senyo. She was a member of the Heritage Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deaconess. Maryjane also served on the Board of the Directors and participated in many other church functions until she became ill. She was a member of the Lydia Circle and the Philathea Women's Club. Maryjane loved her family and especially enjoyed baking her family members' favorite birthday cakes. She was also very well known for her pigs in the blanket. Maryjane loved hosting the holidays at her home and enjoyed cooking for everyone. She was a true people person and made friends wherever she went. Her husband, William A. Shannon, whom she married April 14, 1956, passed away Sept. 23, 1997. Maryjane leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Maryjane Shannon, and her son, Bill (Jeannie) Shannon, all of Campbell; her grandchildren, Stephen and Christine Spisak and Brittany, Brianna and Billy Shannon; her great-grandson, Mason Smith; another great-grandson on the way; and many special nieces and nephews. Besides her parents; and her husband, William; she was preceded in death by her grandson, David Spisak; her sister, Betty Guidos; and her brothers, Andy, Joe and Steve Senyo. The Shannon family will receive family and friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Heritage Presbyterian Church, prior to the 11 a.m. memorial service. A funeral luncheon will be held in the church hall, following the memorial service.
