Campbell: Private family services were held Thursday at the Wasko Funeral Home for Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Wittway, 90, who passed away Tuesday at the Assumption Village. Mary Lou was born January 28, 1923 in Campbell, the daughter of August and Mary Rish Wittway, and was a life long area resident. She was a 1941 graduate of Villa Maria High School. She was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. John Catholic Church, and worked as an Office Clerk for the A & P Supermarket. Mary Lou was a talented basket maker; she loved to bake cookies and apple pie and loved to travel and shop. She leaves to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Susanne Maruskin of Fairfield, Pa.; a granddaughter Lauren of Leesburg, Va.; a sister, Coletta Pescione of Struthers; her long time friend Tom Krotky; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Robert, August and Richard Wittway. The Wittway family would like to thank the staff at Assumption Village for the loving care they gave to Mary Lou. The Wittway family has entrusted the arrangements of their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home.
