Obituary

Girard: Funeral services will be held 9:30am Monday at the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell and 10am in St. Luke Catholic Church for Dr. Martin T. ââ?¬Å?Marty쳌 Manning, 44 who passed away Wednesday evening in the Hospice House. Marty was born Sept. 6, 1966 in Salem the son of Mark and Marcia McClintock Manning. He was a 1984 graduate of Beaver Local High School and went on to graduate from Theil College in 1988 with a BA in Political Science, from Bowling Green State University in 1990 with a Masters Degree in College Student Personnel and from Kent State University in 2005 with a PHD in Organizational Development. He worked at Youngstown State University for the past 20 years currently working as the Associate Director of Student Life where he was the Discipline Officer and worked in the Counseling Department teaching part time. He was a member of the church, the parish council, Men?¢s Renewal Team and on the Parish Life Committee, and he was also a 3rd Degree Member of The Knights of Columbus. Marty officiated high school football games for the Ohio High School Athletic Assoc. from 1998-2005. And coached his daughters soccer team this past year. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife the former Migdalia Reyes whom he married on July 15, 2000; his mother, Marcia Manning of Leetonia; his children, Melina, Marc and Maya all at home; a brother, Mark William (Diane) Manning of Leetonia; his mother and father-in-law, Manuel and Olimpia Reyes of Youngstown; sister-in-law Noelia (Rick) Montanez of Coitsville; brother-in-laws, Jose (Renee) Reyes of Austintown, Eduardo (Kira) Reyes of Youngstown and Fred (Jeanne) Reyes of Girard; many nieces and nephews and 2 great nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Mark Manning; his paternal aunt Suzanne Bratt and his maternal and paternal grandparents. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the Hospice House or to the Dr. Martin T. Manning Cancer Fund through the Home Savings and Loan Bank. The Manning family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3-7pm.
