Obituary

Mario D. Tataseo, 87 Campbell…………Funeral services will be held at 9:30am Wednesday at the Wasko Funeral Home and 10am in Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Lucy Catholic Church for, Mario D. Tataseo, 87, who passed away Saturday evening in St. Elizabeth Health Center. Mario was born June 17, 1928 in Bugnara, Italy, the son of Michele and Maria Vittorina DiVito Tataseo and came to the USA and Campbell in 1948. He worked as a welder for Truscon in Youngstown for 10 years, GATX in Masury for 23 years and Modern Window Co. in Youngstown working as a window assembler for 10 years where he retired. He was a life long member of the church where he was involved with many activities including being an Usher; a member of the St. Lucy Men's Society, and the church Bocce Team. Mario was also a member of the Youngstown Morra League. Mario's number one priority in life was his family. His wife, the former Gabriella DiPaolo, whom he married May 21, 1961, passed away Sept. 18, 2003. He leaves to cherish his memory a son, George of Bethel Park, Pa.; two daughters, AnnaMarie (Dr. Herbert) Naito of Austintown and Patricia (Neil) Walsh of North Canton; grandchildren, Edward, Gabriella, Paul and Maria; one sister, Niva Marziali of Italy; and numerous nieces and nephews in Italy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Gabriella; and a brother Elpidio Tataseo. The Tataseo family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends on Tuesday evening from 5 to 8pm.
