Obituary

NEW MIDDLETOWN - Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday at the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell and at 12:30 p.m. at the St. Angela Merici Parish at Sacred Heart Church for Marie A. Staron, 84, formerly of Campbell, who passed away Wednesday, July 15, at her home. Marie was born Nov. 29, 1930, in Corona, Long Island, N.Y., the daughter of Ernest and Ida Pagley Biondillo. She was a 1948 graduate of East High School. She was the secretary and office manager for the superintendent of schools for the Youngstown Diocese from 1967 to 1986, retiring in 1986. She was a very active member of the church, its' Altar and Rosary Society, the finance committee and the food program at the church. Marie loved to sew, read, play cards and dance and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her husband, Raymond J. Staron, whom she married Jan. 7, 1950, passed away Jan. 28, 2004. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Dr. Raymond (Gina) Staron of Chagrin Falls, Denise (George) Zetts of Boardman, Sandra (Rodney) Garver of Salem, and Cindy (Rick) Camardo of Columbiana; grandchildren Andrew (Andrea) Staron, Jeffrey Staron, George Michael (Nicole) Zetts, Deidre (Juan) Rivera, Jason (Jen) Zetts, Joshua (Leslie) Zetts and Mark Garver, Nikki, Allie and Ryan Camardo; great-grandchildren A.J., Lucia and Felicity Staron, Deni, Olivia, Hadassah Rivera, Noah, Ava, and Myah Zetts, Zander Zetts, and another great-grandchild due in October; a sister, Donna (Bill) Mokrovich of Poland; and two sisters-in-law, Judy Biondillo and Linda Biondillo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ray; a new born daughter, Deborah; and three brothers, Anthony, Ernie and John Biondillo. Marie's family requests that monetary donations be made in her name to Hospice House,9803 Sharott Road, Poland, OH 44514. The Staron family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends on Friday evening from 4 to 8 p.m.
