Obituary

Campbell: A private religious service for family will be held for Marie A. Kovach, 92, who passed away peacefully early Saturday evening at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Marie was born Dec. 30, 1918 in New Castle, Pa. the daughter of the late Walter and Anna Mendus Splawinski. Marie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Campbell. Before her marriage to her husband George Sr., she was employed by Shenango China in New Castle. She leaves to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law George Jr. and Lisa Kovach of Boardman; three nephews Richard (Mary) Splawinski of Dayton, Mark (Pam) Splawinski of Lebanon, OH and David Splawinski of Loveland, OH; two nieces Nancy (Doug) Chandler of Milford and Katherine (David) Becker of Loveland; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Edward and Bernadette Kovach of Poland and a sister-in-law Helen Chicone of Lakeland, Fla. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Sr. whom she married June 30, 1950, he passed away Sept. 25, 2008; an infant son and brothers Edward and John Splawinski and a sister Stella Splawinski. The family wishes to thank all of the employees of Humility House for the excellent and loving care that they gave to Marie. The Kovach family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home.
