Obituary

MARGARET V. MASSULLO POLAND- Margaret V. Massullo, 90, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family and friends. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Monday at 11:00am at St. Stephens of Hungary Church, 854 Wilson Ave, Youngstown 44506. Margaret, known fondly to everyone as "Marge" or "Margie", was born August 14, 1923 in Youngstown OH, the daughter of Gabor and Elizabeth (Varga) Vargo. Prior to becoming The Ultimate Wife, Mother and Homemaker, Marge worked at the Triangle Coat Factory, as well as the Seamless Pipe Department of the Youngstown Sheet and Tube during World War II, anxiously awaiting her fiancé to return home from overseas. Margaret was a member and elected officer of the Bagnolese Ladies Club, St. Anthony's Italian Mother's Club, several Card Party Groups, and was extremely active in the ITAM Post 3 Veterans Auxiliary group locally, regionally, as well as nationally. Marge possessed a deep love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her family. She also enjoyed numerous parts of life, including traveling to several countries, frequent visits to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and regional casinos, in addition to her social bingo schedule, cooking and crocheting. Margaret will always be remembered by her daughter, Marguerite Higbee of Boardman and her sons, Alfred (Sandra) Massullo of Austintown and Ronald "Muzz" Massullo of Poland; grandsons Brock (Nicholl) Massullo and Brandon (Katrina) Massullo; granddaughters Ronelle Massullo, Cara (Daniel) Caine, Lauren (Andrew) Luttenberger and Genna Higbee; as well as her five great-grand children; her sisters, Irene Vince and Julie Centofante and brother, James J. Vargo. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved Husband, Adolph "Al" Massullo, whom she married February 8, 1947, son-in-law, George Higbee; brothers, Steve and Gabor Vargo; and sisters, Elizabeth Stanko, Rose McCurdy, Goldie Vargo and Julia Vargo. Arrangements are being handled by Wasko Funeral Home, 216 Coitsville Rd., Campbell, where the family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 4-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in "Margie's" name to the Masternick Memorial Activity Fund, 5250 Windsor Way, New Middletown, Oh., 44442.
