Austintown: Funeral services will be held 11am Wednesday at the Wasko Funeral Home and 11:30am in St. John Catholic Church in Campbell for Margaret M. Macela, 97 who passed away Friday morning in Austinwoods Nursing Home. Margaret was born Oct. 25, 1913 in Campbell the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Ofcharik Murar. She formerly resided on Sixth St. in Campbell. She was a member of St. Elizabeth and St. John Catholic Church in Campbell, the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild and Jednota Ladies Branch 202. Her husband Michael, whom she married on Nov. 23, 1935 passed away July 12, 1972. Margaret was an excellent crocheter and enjoyed word puzzles. She leaves to cherish her memory 2 daughters Patty (Vincent) Ramunno of Campbell and Dolly (Pete) Peterson of Austintown; 3 grandchildren Leisha (Mitchell) Zolla, Sherri McHenry and Ronald (Jennifer) Peterson and 2 great-grandchildren Matt and Jason Bagoly and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers Michael and John Murar and 2 sisters Helen Nelson and Betty Repko. The Macela family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8pm.
