AVON, IN – A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, with Fr. Bob Bonnot officiating for Margaret Elizabeth Kaperak, 91, formerly of Youngstown, who went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2014.
Margaret was born February 2, 1923 in Struthers, a daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth (Forgac) Kaperak.
She was a devoted Catholic and belonged to St. Nicholas Church. She was described as a very straight forward woman, who always spoke her mind, even if it occasionally got her in trouble. She will be remembered for her exceptional baking and cooking, which she loved to share her with her family and friends. She made delicious treats such as chicken paprikash, kolachi, and wedding soup.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter; Elizabeth Snyder of Avon, IN, grandsons; Harry J. Snyder, Jr. and Brian S. Snyder both from Avon, IN. Brothers; Stephen Kaperak and Thomas Kaperak both from Mentor, OH and a sister Katherine Rucinski of Parma, OH. She is proceeded in death by her sister Mary Makovec, Bradenton, FL.
The Kaperak family has entrusted the care of their loved one to the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Monday, May 26, 2014. Inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
