Louise A. Dubyak, 91
Campbell………..Private family services were held Monday morning at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church for, Louise A. Dubyak, 91, who was embraced by her heavenly father on Friday at the Hospice House surrounded by her loved ones.
Louise was born, March 27, 1924 in Campbell, the daughter of Matthew and Louise Belabradic Mihelcic.
She was a 1942 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, where she was a majorette for several years in the school marching band.
Upon graduation, Louise was employed by the Paramount Theater Co. until the winter of 1943. Subsequent to her employment at the Paramount Theater, Louise became a secretary at the Water Department for the City of Campbell until the Spring of 1944.
Mrs. Dubyak was a lifelong member and founding benefactor of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Campbell. She was active in her membership with the St. Michaels Ladies Guild and volunteer services at church functions. Louise maintained life membership in the Greek Catholic Union and the Mary Knoll Brothers Society.
Her husband, Police Officer John Dubyak Jr., whom she married June 24, 1944, passed away on Oct. 15, 1987.
Louise leaves to mourn her loss, a son, James John Dubyak of Campbell, with whom she made her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John; a daughter, Vivian Lee Dubyak, who passed away Sept. 6, 2008; three sisters, Amelia Schindler, Rose Paulic and Mary Wulk; and a brother, Matthew Mihelcic.
Per Louise's request, there were no calling hours.
Special thanks are extended to the entire staff of the Hospice House, for all their compassion and caring during Louise's visit.
The Dubyak family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell.
