Irene Koulianos, 79

Campbell…Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m, at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, with Rev. Steve Denas officiating, for Irene Koulianos, 79, who went to rest with the Lord early Monday morning.

Irene was born January 4, 1937, in Kalymnos, Greece, the daughter of Michael and Katerina Monocandilos.

She was married on July 10, 1955 to Petro Koulianos in Kalymnos and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past July.

Irene worked as an employee for Strouss Grille in downtown Youngstown for twenty years.

She was a devoted wife and mother.  She will always be remembered for her excellent cooking.

Irene leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband, Petro; her children, Charles (Libby), Anthony (Sevasti) and Michael at home; her grandchildren, Petro and Maria (Tony) Hassen; step-granddaughter, Rochelle Bellino; and step great-grandchildren, Mark and Mario Fusillo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley for their services, as well as the staff of St. Elizabeth Health Center.  Also, the family especially recognizes and thanks neighbor, Jackie Black, cousin and goddaughter, Stanley and Kerry Monocandilos; and brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Betty Koulianos.

The Koulianos family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Thursday morning from 9-10:00 a.m. at the Church.
