Elizabeth "Betty" Krajnak, 84 Las Vegas, NV……………Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, with Fr. John Trimbur officiating, for Elizabeth "Betty" Krajnak, 84, who passed away Saturday morning in Henderson, NV. Betty was born July 4, 1930 in Campbell, the daughter of Michael Sr. and Helen Sharshan Hamrock, and was a life long resident of Campbell until going to Las Vegas to live with her daughter. Besides being a homemaker, Betty worked for the Schwebel family at their residence for more than 10 years. She was a member of the former St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Campbell, its' Infant Jesus of Prague Guild, the GCU and the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. Her husband, Norbert J. Krajnak, whom she met at a dance at the Idora Park Ballroom in 1948, and then married him on Sept. 3, 1949, passed away nine days before her on Feb. 26, 2015. Betty was an absolutely wonderful human being. She loved bowling and old Hollywood movies, especially Shirley Temple movies. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining. But, her true joy came in spending time with her family, daughter and grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law, Noreen and Jordan "Dan" Dentscheff of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Jordan P. and Lauren E. Dentscheff of Las Vegas; her brother, Michael Hamrock of Campbell; and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Tesner of Campbell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Norbert; an infant daughter Norma Jean Krajnak; brother, Larry Hamrock; sister, Irene Garaneovsky; and brother-in-law, John Garaneovsky. The Krajnak family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7pm. Donations can be made to the Alzheimers Foundation in Betty's name.
