BOARDMAN – Calling hours will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00p.m. at Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home officiated by Deacon Chuck Ivan, for Minnie Maravola, who passed away April 8, 2015 Minnie was born December 15, 1918 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Charles and Fannie (Swad) Joseph. She married her husband Anthony J. Maravola on October 23, 1943. They spent nearly forty years together until Anthony's death in 1981. Minnie was a nurse's aide at The Little Forest Nursing Home. One of Minnie's greatest joys was spending time with her family. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her children, Anthony M. (Patricia)Maravola of Grayslake, Illinois and Mary Ann (David) Hershey of Boardman; her five grandchildren, Anthony T. (Heather) Maravola, Andrew J.(Jacquelin) Maravola, Carrie (James) Palazzo, Leslie Anne (Nicholas) Tubbs and Stacie (Michael) Snyder; and her six great grandchildren, Gina, Julia, Luca, Anthony J. Sophia and Jax "Jack". Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her nine siblings; Charles Joseph, Bessie Ivan, Mary Whitehead, Michael Joseph, Martha Toney, Sarah Miller, James Joseph, Albert Joseph and Selma Joseph. The family has entrusted Minnie's care to the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Lake Park Cemetery.
