Ellen Bozanich, 87
Boardman…Private family services were held Saturday at the Wasko Funeral Home, with Fr. Sinisa Hrvacvic officiating for Ellen Bozanich, 87, who passed away Thursday evening.
Ellen was born May 14, 1928, in Farrell, the daughter of John and Rose Yankovich Balach.
She was a 1946 graduate of Farrell High School.
She was a long time parishioner of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church.
Ellen was a member of Silver Sneakers in Boardman, an avid gardener and she enjoyed baking and cooking.
Ellen was a very caring person, always lending a helping hand and ready to help anyone in need. Most of all, she was a devoted mother and friend to many.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Peter J. Bozanich of Boardman, David G. Bozanich of Youngstown, and Yvonne E. Bozanich of Boardman; her granddaughter, Lindsey of Boardman; her three sisters, Violet (George) Kusich of Hermitage, Nana (Edward) Bocko of South Carolina and Yvonne (David) Sylvester of Florida; her two brothers, William (Linda) Balach of Maryland and Robert Balach of Hermitage; and many nieces and nephews.
Ellen's husband, George Bozanich, whom she married May 2, 1954, passed away October 3, 2002.
Besides her husband, George, Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Marilyn and Mitzi Balach and her brother, George "Chips" Balach.
The Bozanich family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home.
