Helen A. (Van Jura) Janecko, 90 CAMPBELL – Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with Father Shawn Conoboy and Fr. Melvin Rusnak officiating, for Helen A. (Van Jura) Janecko, 90, who passed away Sunday morning with her family by her side. Helen was born Feb. 5, 1925, in Campbell, the daughter of Anna and Joe Van Jura. She was a 1942 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. Helen loved gardening and spent hours planting flowers every spring and summer. She enjoyed reading and passed on her love of reading to her three children. Helen leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 65 years and whom she married May 21, 1949, Ernest Robert Janecko; her daughter, Denise (Robert) Sidorowicz of Boston; her son, Keith (Darlene) Janecko of Boardman; her daughter, Diane Janecko of Campbell; and her granddaughter, Megan Sidorowicz, of Boston. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family would like to especially thank Helen's wonderful caregivers, Lois and Liz and the nurses and caregivers of Grace Hospice, especially Vicky, Shayla and Brenda. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen's name to Grace Hospice, 7206 Market St., Suite B, Youngstown, OH 44512. The Janecko family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
