MARY A. BRAYDICH, 87
CAMPBELL – A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Youngstown for Mary A. Braydich, 87, who died Saturday morning, Dec 27, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born December 8, 1927 in Campbell, a daughter of Frank and Mary Braydich, and was a lifelong resident of Campbell.
Mary graduated from Campbell Memorial High School and was the valedictorian of her class. She was employed at Robins' Furniture Store of Youngstown, as their bookkeeper and secretary. She retired after 36 years of employment. She loved sports and could "hold her own" with the best when it came to talking about her beloved Browns and Indians! She was an avid moviegoer, once attending 40 movies in one year. But, she really liked the "old" movies and their stars the best. She loved listening to singer, Jerry Vale. She enjoyed reading everything, from the Vindicator, front page to the last, as well as novels by Danielle Steel.
Her greatest joys were her niece, nephews, and cousins. A birthday or holiday never went by without a card from Auntie Mary. She is survived by her niece, Maryfrances Firem of Cleveland, her nephews, Dr Rudy (Jayne) Braydich of Canfield, Lt. Col. Michael (Rebecca) Braydich of Waynesville, Tom (Patti) Braydich of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Dr Mark (Rose) Braydich of Struthers, her sister=in-law, Lillian Braydich, of Struthers, and cousins, Joe Brajdich of Campbell and Marian Brajdich of Campbell. Mary also had 12 great nieces and nephews and 11 great, great nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary (Vucic) Braydich, her brother, Rudy, her sister, Rose, her brother-in-law, Rudy Firem and her nephew Jim Braydich.
Family and friends may call on Friday, January 2, 2015, from 4 to 7pm and again on Saturday from 9 to 9:30, January 3, 2015 at the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Mary's family would like to thank Dr. Spratt and Dr. Chahine and the entire staff at the Blood and Cancer Center for the wonderful care given to her.
