Blanche C. Vanca, 86 Campbell…Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Joseph the Provider Catholic Church for Blanche C. Vanca, 86, who passed away Monday evening. Blanche was born October 18, 1928, in Youngstown, the daughter of Fred and Mildred Senkowitz Trachek. Besides being an excellent homemaker, Blance was a shoe sales clerk at Lustig's Shoe Company for over 30 years. She was a parishioner of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Joseph the Provider Catholic Church in Campbell. Blanche also served as a member of the church choir at the former St. Elizabeth Church. Blanche enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Her husband, John P. Vanca, Sr., whom she married May 18, 1946, passed away March 17, 2014. Blanche leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Jack (Marlene) Vanca of Campbell, Debbie (Tom) Pryor of Poland and Marilyn (Gary) Schrieber of Charlotte, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Kimberly (Ray) Orlovsky of Canfield, John Vanca of Campbell, Tom Pryor of Houston, TX, Megan Pryor of Struthers, Jason T. Pryor of Struthers, and Brian P. Schrieber and Kaitlyn (fiancé Jonathan Murphy) Schrieber all of Charlotte, N.C.; and six great-grandchildren, Aiden, Grayson and Owen Orlovsky, Luke and Alexi Vanca, and Meredith Pryor; and her sister Nancy Stanec of Campbell. Besides her husband, John, she was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Daniel Schrieber; a great-granddaughter, Elise Orlovsky; her brother, Anthony Trachek; and four sisters, Emma Fye, Jeannie Scott, Stella Pietruch, and Mildred Bullano. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Assumption Village Special Care Unit for the excellent care they provided. The Vanca family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Friday from 4-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
