Kathleen A. "Kathy" Vallas, 63 Campbell…Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Steve Denas officiating for Kathleen A. "Kathy" Vallas, who passed away Thursday afternoon at the Cleveland Clinic. Kathy was born November 19, 1950, in Youngstown, the daughter of Edward and Katherine Garcia Dobran Simmons. She was a 1969 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Kathy worked as a Bus Driver for Campbell City Schools, retiring in December, 2001. She was a member of Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church. Kathy loved riding motorcycles and was known for her funny sense of humor. She enjoyed playing Jeopardy. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Jack Vallas, whom she married June 19, 1999; her children, Lisa Morgan (Ray Crawford) of New Mexico and son, John (Mary) Morgan of Campbell; three grandchildren, William Granger, Kaitlyn Morgan and Ray Morgan; her siblings, Edward Dobran Jr., of Youngstown, Leanne Polombi of Boardman, David Dobran of Warren and Gary Dobran of Youngstown; her mothers-in-law, Niki Vallas of Campbell and Mary Kazouris Pontikos of Tarpon Springs, Fla; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; many aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews in Ohio and Tarpon Springs, and many cousins in Ohio, New York and Florida. Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Garcia Dobran Simmons and her father, Edward Dobran, who was a POW in WWII; her son, James "Jimmy" Morgan; grandson, John Charles (JC) Morgan; and her father-in-law, Bill Vallas. The Vallas family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Tuesday evening from 5-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Wednesday morning from 9-10:00 a.m. at the church.
