Judith Marie Bayus, 72

Canfield…Private family services were held Wednesday morning at the Wasko Funeral Home, with Rev. Kristin Stroble officiating for Judith Marie Bayus, 72, who passed away Saturday afternoon.

Judy was born October 19, 1943, in Youngstown, the daughter of George and Mary Badnarik Semyan.

Following her graduation from Boardman High School, Judy went on to earn a B.S. Degree in Education from Youngstown State University and then a Masters Plus 30 Degree from Kent State.

She worked as a school teacher, retiring in 1996 after 34 years of service with the Austintown School District.  She also served as a Canfield Township Trustee for ten years.

Judy was a member of the Heritage Presbyterian Church.

She was also active in the Retired Teachers Association and the Saxon Club.

Judy leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Edward G. Bayus, whom she married August 16, 1987; her daughters, Suzanne M. Lucas and Lorrie L. Lucas; her grandchildren, Tyler Morgan Green, Lauren Olivia Green and Logan Thomas Green; her sister, Linda (Robert) Thompson; and her three dear and close friends, Betty, Kathy and Jim.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The Bayus family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home.
