Marzano, 91, who passed away peacefully on May 16, 2015. Joseph was born August 11, 1923 in Hillsville, PA, a son of Dominic and Philomena (Yeropoli) Marzano. He attended Youngstown State University before serving in the Army during World War II. On May 28, 1949, Joseph married the former Catherine Pandone and together they enjoyed 63 years. Joseph was very proud of his career as a certified pedorthist (specialist in corrective footwear). He was employed by Kirby's shoe store, Mooney's shoe store and retiring from Diorio Shoes at the young age of 90. He was a member and usher at St. Dominic Church and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. Joseph enjoyed bowling with his sons and nephew, the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Ohio State football. Joseph's greatest joy was spending time at "shindigs" with his family. Joseph leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Joseph N. (Marie) Marzano of Youngstown and Nicholas (Janet) Marzano of Boardman, his grandchildren, Joseph (Kim) Marzano, Maria (Damien) Campbell, Terry (Lisa) Marzano, and Nicole Marzano, his great grandchildren, Stella, Elliza & Joseph Marzano, Nina Campbell and his sister-in-law Mary Marzano of Struthers. Other than his parents and beloved wife, Joseph is preceded in death by his siblings Sam Marzano, Nick Marzano, Tony Marzano, Vito Marzano, Jenny Pesce and Carrie Mascola. The Marzano family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home where they will receive family and friends on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Calling hours will be held again on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Church prior to mass.
