YOUNGSTOWN – Joseph Hrehovcik, 85, passed away on January 7, 2025, at Oasis Center in Youngstown.

He was born on December 6, 1939, in Youngstown, a son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Williams) Hrehovcik.

A life-long area resident, Joe worked as a housepainter for many years.  He was in the Army Reserves and loved the Cleveland Guardians.

He leaves behind his sister Helen Dym, his niece Maureen Stran, his nephew Edward Kenney, six great nephews, 1 great niece and two great-great nieces.

Other than his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his sister Mary Ann Kenney and two brothers Michael and Daniel Hrehovcik.

Services will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff of Oasis Center for the wonderful care they provided to Joe.

The family has entrusted their loved one to the Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home.
