Biography

Joseph P. Bieganowski, 54 Lordstown………..Funeral services will be held 2pm Wednesday at the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, with Fr. Michael Swierz officiating, for Joseph P. Bieganowski, 54, formerly of Campbell, who passed away Thursday evening. Joseph was born March 21, 1959 in Youngstown, the son of Kazimierz and Janina Bogatek Bieganowski and was a life long area resident. He was a 1977 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School. Joseph worked as a press operator and truck driver at Michigan Hanger Co. of Niles for 22 years and Cassens Transport as a truck driver for the last 13 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local #377. And was of the Catholic faith. His passion was drag racing with his son, where he was the crew chief of Bieganowski Racing. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former Karen S. Kichak, whom he married Oct. 7, 1978; a son, Joey Bieganowski of Lordstown; two daughters, Jennifer Bieganowski of Boardman and Jody (Matt) Stump of Lenexa, Kansas; his granddaughter, Kylie Stump, whom he adored; his Yorkie dog Abbey; three sisters, Bernice (John) Ratliff of Canfield, Halina (Thomas) Churilla of Poland and Rose (Chuck) Kroner of Maui, Hawaii; two nieces, Tracy Gearhart and Brandy Warne; one nephew, Steven Churilla; and a great-niece, Zoey Gearhart. He was preceded in death by his parents. The Bieganowski family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5-8pm.
