Joseph J. Bartos, 83 LOWELLVILLE – Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Swierz officiating, for Joseph J. Bartos, 83, who passed away Sunday afternoon and is now happily reunited with his family. Joseph was born Feb. 8, 1931, in Campbell, the son of Paul and Anna Naypaver Bartos. He was a 1949 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army. Joe worked in the grocery business in the Dairy Departments of various grocery stores, which included A&P at the Lincoln Knolls Plaza for many years. He was a member of the former St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Campbell. Joe enjoyed fishing and working around his yard. He leaves to cherish his memories, many nieces and nephews, including Terry Orlovsky of Cuyahoga Falls and Mary Ellen Kosela of Poland, who cared for him and his two cats, Penny and Alley. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Matilda Uhler, Rosemary Bartos and Teresa Orlovsky, whom he served as her caregiver; and his dog, Holly. The Bartos family has entrusted their loved one to t he care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Thursday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
