John Antonios Antonas, 63 POLAND - The Lord called his servant, John Antonios Antonas, home on Sunday, May 21, at age 63. John passed away peacefully at his home next to the love of his life, best friend, and wife of 38 years, Lisa (Ensley) Antonas. He was a devoted father to his sons, Anthony Antonas and Michael (Brie) Antonas; and daughter Alisse (Trent) Bonnett; and an adoring "Papou" to his sweet granddaughter, Blair Bonnett and grandson, due in July. John was preceded in death by his father, Antonios Antonas; father-in-law William Ensley; great-uncle, John "Pappy" Alesafis; and brother-in-law Bill Sagy. He is survived by his loving mother, Evelyn (Alesafis) Antonas; mother-in-law Nancy Ensley; sisters Peggy Sagy, Pamela (Craig) DiRienzo, and Georgienne (Louie) Douropoulos; brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was a lifelong member of the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, the first baby baptized in the church, and later served as an altar boy. He was a 1972 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, worked for LTD Steel, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1973 to 1977, aboard the aircraft carrier USS Independence. He was most-known for his work in heating and air-conditioning and was a member of Sheet Metal Workers' Union Local 33. John enjoyed his retirement fishing, boating, golfing, maintaining his lawn, and spending time with family. He will forever be remembered and deeply missed by those that loved him. The family will receive condolences during calling hours at the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell on Thursday, May 25 from 4 to      7 p.m. and hold Orthodox Liturgy at St. John's Russian Orthodox Church in Campbell at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 26. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wasko Funeral Home in John's name to contribute to the renovation of the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church.
