In 1995 he began work at Parkview Counseling where he helped coordinate services as part of a team on a residential unit.
In 1999 he decided on a career change and entered the police academy and went to work for the Mahoning County Sheriff?¢s Dept. He left the Sheriff?¢s Dept. in 2005 and worked until very recently at his first love again, art, employed as a stone craftsman at Ventling Memorials, making beautiful memorials in granite which can be seen in cemeteries from New York to Wyoming.
He was an accomplished body builder as well as a runner, having completed the Peace Race in 2006 and 2007. He was an avid Star Wars fan since his youth and had a long time love of German Shepherds.
