Janina Baran's Obituary
NEW SPRINGFIELD – Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church with Father Edward Neroda celebrating for Janina Baran, 85, who went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2014.
Janina was born July 5, 1929 in Poland, Europe, a daughter of Michael and Agnes Iwaszko.
She was a homemaker, but also worked in various part time jobs throughout her life. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.
Janina was a past president of the Polish Auxiliary to the Veterans Post 14, a member of the Free Polish Krakusky Society, and former chairman of the Polish Youth Dancers Council 46. She also served on a committee for multiple sclerosis.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved husband, Adam J. Baran, whom she married February 16, 1947; her children, Eugene W. Baran of Pennsylvania, Frank Baran of Youngstown, and Edward (Nancy) Baran of Boardman; her grandchildren, Janina Marie Tatar of Pittsburgh, Janice (Kyle) Abram of Broadview Heights, OH, Matthew James of Ft. Myers, FL, and Adam Christopher (Kristen) Baran of Dayton; and great grandchildren, Hunter, Zachary, Lynneah, and Isaiah.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Adam M. Baran Jr., and a daughter, Barbara Ann Tatar.
The Baran family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home where they will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 and also beginning at 8:30 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad Street, Canfield, OH 44406, in her memory.
