Obituary

James J. "Jimmy" Landis, 60 Canfield…A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, with Fr. Timothy O'Neill officiating for James J. "Jimmy" Landis, 60, who passed away Dec. 16, 2014. Jimmy was born November 21, 1954, in Youngstown, the son of Joseph and Carmel Morabito Landis. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Jimmy was the Owner and Creative Designer of Mum's the Word Florist Company. As an interesting side note, Jimmy was the first field goal kicker in Cardinal Mooney history. Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories, his brothers, Joseph (Pam Porter) Landis, and Sam Orr, both of Canfield; his step-mother, Mary Lou Landis of Fort Myers; his four children, Darren Landis, Lauren Kaleel, Tyler Landis and Kendra Landis, all of Canfield; and his Aunt Irene Jennings of Sun City, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents. The Landis Family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell.
