Helen Marie Rinaldi Mingo, 90
Campbell………Funeral services will be held 10am Thursday at the Wasko Funeral Home with Fr. Michael Swierz officiating for, Helen Marie Rinaldi Mingo, 90, who passed away Saturday evening at Park Vista with her loving family by her side.
Helen was born, Jan. 1, 1924 in Youngstown, the daughter of Felix and Rose Pecchio Etri Rinaldi.
She was a 1943 graduate of East High School; she worked at Isaly Dairy Main Plant from 1943 to 1950, and also worked at Ravers, Voyager, Hasty House and American Greeting.
Helen was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Joseph the Provider Church, Golden Circle, Ohio State Mothers, and volunteered at the Pierogi House.
She loved to go to Atlantic City and Mountaineer to gamble. Helen was a good cook and baker who was famous for her pot of spaghetti sauce and stuffed cabbage and who loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren.
Her husband, John W. Mingo, whom she married Aug. 17, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY, passed away Jan. 7, 2009.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, John (Joan) Mingo of Campbell and Marilyn (Joseph) Putarek of Poland; grandchildren, John (Gulper) Mingo of Boardman, Adam Mingo of Lake Mary, Florida, Michael Putarek of Sacramento, CA, and Laura (Brandon) LaPoint of Toledo; and a sister, Josephine Sylvester of Poland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; two sisters, Philomena Kocanyar and Lucy Etri; and two brothers, Carl Etri and Albert Etri.
Helens family would like to thank Hospice and Park Vista Assisted and Nursing Staff for the kind and compassionate care that she received.
The Mingo family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Wednesday evening from 5 to 8pm.
