MINERAL RIDGE – A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home for Helen Maskulka, 87, who passed away on April 4, 2016.

Helen was born February 17, 1929 in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Anna (Repko) Rigelsky. Helen worked as a nurse's aide at St. Elizabeth's Hospital for many years. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Helen loved to cook, especially Slovak dishes. She enjoyed helping other's with recipes. Helen loved looking on as her husband, a jeweler, fixed watches and set jewels. But, her greatest love was her family and friends.

She leaves behind to cherish his memories, her daughter, Annie (Joseph) Timer; her granddaughter Joanne Timer (Thomas Poyssick) and her grandchildren Josie and Thomas Poyssick Jr.; a nephew Frank Rigelsky; a niece Patty Rigelsky; her sister in law Agatha (John) Fedyski, and her longtime friend Minnie Walker.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Frank Rigelsky, her sisters Agnes Rigelsky and Marylou Miller, and her loving husband John, who she married April 15, 1950.

The family has entrusted the care of Helen to the Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends on Friday morning from 10:00-11:00AM at Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home, 5295 Market Street, Boardman.

Helen's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Rostom, Lloyd, Debbie, Jennifer and the staff at Vista Care Center at the Ridge who took such good care of her.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Helen's name to the funeral home.
