Gerald "Jerry" Lloyd Cozart, 91 Campbell…A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at Noon at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Lucy Catholic Church for Gerald "Jerry" Lloyd Cozart, 91, who passed away Sunday. Mr. Cozart was born September 1, 1923, in Portland, Ohio, the son of Hubert and Ruth (Hilton) Cozart. He was a 1941 graduate of Racine High School, where he played basketball and baseball. He was also the Salutatorian of his class. Jerry was a proud United States Navy Veteran. He was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Lucy Catholic Church and the St. Lucy Men's Club. Jerry was the owner and operator of Girard Hardware and worked there for 35 years. He was a member of 1418 and Campbell Seniors and a previous member of the Girard Kiwanis Club. His loving wife of 61 years, the former Lena Santoro, whom he married August 4, 1945 at St. Lucy Church in Campbell, preceded him in death on June 20, 2007. Jerry leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Ed Van Fossan of Boardman and Geraldine and Jack Dill of Campbell; his grandsons, Dustin (Valerie) Dill, Kevin (Danielle) Dill and Brad Van Fossan; six beautiful great-granddaughters that he adored, Alyssa Dill, Nina Dill, Lena Dill, Cameron Dill, Ella Dill and Addison Dill; three sisters, Marge Clark, Fern Davis and Patty Adams; his sisters-in-law, Ann Santoro and Donna Santoro; and extended family members; his caring neighbors and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lena, four brothers, Stanley, Jim, Joe and Chuck and two sisters, Jean and Maxine. Jerry's family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to noon at the Church.
