George Muskal, 93 Irwin…A Panachida service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial (Divine Liturgy) at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, with Fr. Kevin Marks officiating, for George Muskal, 93, formerly of Campbell, who passed away on October 8, 2015. He was the loving father of Monica Muskal Boggs and the late George M. Muskal; adored grandfather of Patrick Boggs; brother of Irena Krajnak, Matilda Simonik, and the late Roza Kunch and Milan Muskal. George served in WWII in the Slovak army. After coming to Youngstown in 1948, George was a 1983 retired steelworker of Youngstown Sheet & Tube. He was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church in Campbell. He was also a member of the Civic Club, Sokol, Jednota, senior ole timers and the church golf league. The Muskal family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home, and will receive family and friends Tuesday from 5-8:00 p.m., with a parastas service at 4:30 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, immediately following the funeral service.
