Obituary

BOARDMAN: Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Parish in Youngstown with Fr. Michael Swierz officiating for Frank J. Petrallo, 72, who passed away Thursday afternoon in Vibra Hospital. Frank was born March 9, 1940, in New York, the son of Frank and Helen Young Petrallo. He came to the Youngstown area at the age of three. Frank?¢s father passed away at the age of two and he was then raised by Michael ââ?¬Å?Bill쳌 Stizza. He was a Paratrooper in the U.S. Army, serving in the 101st Airborne Division. Frank owned his own Independent Trucking Company in New York for many years. He loved making wine and sharing it with everyone. Every September he held his own wine making parties which included his family and many friends. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 48 years, the former Dee Santoro, whom he married on March 21, 1964; his sons, Frank (Margaret) of Port St. Lucy, Fla. and Dr. Scott (Stella) of Canfield; three grandchildren, Alex, Julia and Quinten; a sister, Arlene DeVaul of New Jersey; a brother-in-law, Robert (Carmel) Santoro of Connecticut; brothers-in-law, Tony Pesa of Youngstown and Michael Abresch of New York; many nieces and nephews and a larger loving family that will miss his dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Frances Pesa; an infant daughter, Pam; and a sister-in-law, Cherlyn Abresch. The Petrallo family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home in Boardman and will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
